Information we collect

When you contact us, book a treatment or purchase products, we may collect your name, contact details, requested services, booking and payment history, and your messages to us.

Where needed for a safe and suitable treatment, we may also ask about relevant allergies, skin conditions, medications, pregnancy-related considerations, treatment history or other information you choose to provide. We collect only information reasonably needed for the service you request.

If you provide the name of someone who referred you, we use that information for referral checks. If we receive information about you indirectly, for example from someone enquiring on your behalf, we will provide any notice required by applicable privacy law.

Why we use your information

• To respond to enquiries, assess treatment suitability and provide treatments.
• To arrange appointments, manage cancellations and waitlists, and contact you about bookings.
• To take payments, issue receipts, process orders and meet record-keeping obligations.
• To send studio or product updates when you have subscribed or where otherwise permitted by law.
• To keep our website and business secure and improve our services.

Providing information is generally your choice. If essential contact, booking or relevant treatment-safety information is not provided, we may be unable to arrange or safely provide the requested service.

Bookings, forms and payment providers

Online appointments and waitlists are managed using Timely. Requests submitted through our website are sent to book@adinaskin.nz and may be forwarded to our authorised business inbox, adina@adinaskin.nz, so we can respond.

Payments may be processed through Timely and its payment partners or through a payment link provided via Stripe. These providers receive the information needed to process the transaction and operate under their own privacy notices. We do not ask clients to submit full payment-card details through our website's request forms.

Online shop and email updates

Our shop is available through shop.adinaskin.nz. Placing an order may involve collecting delivery, order and payment information through the shop and its service providers. Their relevant privacy notices may also apply.

If you subscribe to our email updates, we may use an email marketing service, such as Mailchimp, to send them. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link. Essential appointment, payment and order messages may still be sent.

When information is shared

We treat client information and treatment records as confidential. Access is limited to people who reasonably need it for our business. We may share relevant information with providers that support our bookings, payments, email, website hosting and online shop, or when you authorise us or the law requires or permits disclosure.

Some providers may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where an overseas disclosure is involved, we take the steps required by applicable New Zealand privacy law. We do not sell client personal information.

We will not publish identifiable client treatment photographs or testimonials for promotional use without appropriate permission.

Website data and security

Our website or its hosting provider may process basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and security logs, to operate and protect the site. External services that you visit, such as the booking system, online shop and social media, have their own privacy practices and may use cookies.

We take reasonable steps to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for our services and relevant legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or disposed of where practicable.

Access, corrections and questions

You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. Please email us with enough detail to identify the information concerned. We will respond in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy law.
